What a rally! The crowd cheered Broadbent when he announced this is
to be a new historic high for the New Democrats. "From one end of the
country to the other, from Nova Scotia to Iqualuit, from Vancouver
Island to Gatineua Quebec, from all over the GTA to yes, yes, Edmonton
Alberta, Canadians are choosing the New Democrats!

be a New Democrat.
A Note From The Campaign Manager
Jack Layton has put the issues I am proud of hearing, right out front, direct, and clear. I know exactly what an NDP government would do, who it would work for and why. And I want it done, and I KNOW it can be done, and I know my country, and even the world would be better for it.
To examples to justify my pride. Jobs: greening the country and creating a new economy, a green economy for the families of Canada.
The elimination of poverty: which isn't just a necessary moral, strongly smart thing to do economically, it is also a strong signal to the world. Poverty can be eliminated, and it makes the economy work better when its gone. I am so proud.
I am proud of your candidate, Liam McHugh-Russell. He is so committed, so intelligent, so focused on the good that can be done. His respectful of everyone he meets is obvious, and he garners respect whenever he speaks. He makes his points directly and in detail, but the passion for families is present in every word. He has spoken well for us, and never missed a beat. While constantly reminding voters that they have a right to an economy that doesn't just work, but works for THEM, Liam has constantly and directly explained that the policies that would make lives better for all of us, are the same ones that help the least of us.
He also popped puffed up baloney when necessary. Liberal candidate Ignatieff has been pretending to be a "local" candidate at all the events in the riding. "I am the one who solves problems, I know who to call to bring help to local initiatives," Mr Igantieff informed his audience, "I know who to call at the Toronto development agency TEDCO." Liam McHugh-Russell answered, "If you were really a local politician, wouldn't you know that TEDCO was folded by the city and no longer exists?"
Liam was asked to speak for all Toronto NDP candidates, and National NDP at election functions, representing Olivia Chow on sport for example, raising important issues and garnering national press, defending rights and demanding support for families and amateur sports.
And our volunteers have been great! Congratulations to all who helped!
Please come out to the victory party on Election Day, please consider scrutineering on E-day, please call if I can help, or if anything needs explaining.
Thanks ! Be Proud! NDP!
Kevin Russell, for all the hard working volunteers.
